Enabling the SIMATIC IOT Series to Rapidly Integrate Real-Time AI Inference and Accelerate Global Industrial Digitalization

January 2025, Taiwan — SUNIX today announced an enhanced collaboration with Hailo, the global leader in edge-AI processors, to bring high-performance, modular, and scalable AI acceleration into the Siemens industrial automation ecosystem. Through this partnership, SUNIX’s AICH1000S AI acceleration module, powered by the Hailo-8 processor, is now optimized for use within Siemens industrial PCs, controllers, and machine-vision applications.
With years of experience in industrial-grade edge computing, SUNIX designed the AICH1000S to deliver powerful AI inference in a compact and reliable form factor. Working closely with Hailo for joint validation and technical support, SUNIX ensures that the AICH1000S integrates smoothly with Siemens automation systems, providing manufacturers with an efficient, low-cost pathway to deploy AI at the edge.
SUNIX stated:
“As industrial operators increasingly rely on AI for quality inspection, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and automation, they require a solution that is compact, power-efficient, and easy to deploy. The AICH1000S, powered by Hailo-8, delivers up to 26 TOPS of performance while maintaining exceptional long-term stability in real factory environments. This allows customers to upgrade existing Siemens systems with AI capabilities — quickly and cost-effectively.”
Hailo’s engineering support played a pivotal role in enabling seamless integration into Siemens architectures, allowing SUNIX to deliver a more complete and highly compatible industrial AI solution. SUNIX and Hailo will continue to expand their technical collaboration to accelerate AI adoption across global industrial automation markets.

The AICH1000S AI acceleration module is now available for more information and purchase on the SUNIX official website under SUNIX – Solutions.
