1. Environmental Protection
After decades of research by over a hundred of the world's leading scientists organized by the United Nations, a paper was published in 2012 regarding the effects of global warming on human beings and the Earth. The most serious is the greenhouse effect, which will cause 21 million cubic kilometers of ice to melt in the Antarctic, the North Pole and Greenland. If we burn up all the oil, gas and coal on the planet, 50 billion tons of carbon will be released into the atmosphere, causing the Earth's average temperature to rise to 26.6 degrees (currently it is 14.4 degrees), all the ice on land to completely melt, and the Earth’s ocean level will rise sixty-six meters. By that time, the land inhabited by humans will be swallowed by the seas, meaning that there will no longer be any land suited for farming or ranging, and that humans will no longer have any food or land for living. When the Earth's ocean level rises sixty-six meters, will the city that you live in or your sweet home still exist? The human race is at the brink of survival. Can you still not care about the greenhouse effect on mankind?
Although SUNIX is a small business, yet it has played its part in protecting the Earth's environment. SUNIX has invested more than 60 million RMB (USD10 million) to green 65% of the factory’s 35 acre landsite. Over five thousand trees were planted. These trees can absorb more than one thousand tons of carbon in the atmosphere each year, and release over eight hundred tons of oxygen into the atmosphere. The Park's ecological pond collects rainwater, which supplies the needs of the whole factory as well as the water circulation system used for irrigation. It also plays its part in balancing the ecosystem by providing insects with an environment for reproduction, a place for birds to rest and feed, and for fish and shrimp to mate and breed.
We have also been promoting a paperless environment throughout the factory to prevent deforestation by businessmen to meet the demand for paper. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, making them the most important weapon against the greenhouse effect. We have always been promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction as ways to reduce power usage and consumption. Our power usage has gone from more than 10 thousand kW per month, down to over 6 thousand kW per month, a 45% decrease in power consumption. This translates to burning 120 tons of oil or more than 500 tons of coal less each year, thereby reducing 70 tons of carbon emission, which is the main cause of the greenhouse effect.
From the ecological park, tree planting, water recycling, promoting a paperless factory, saving energy and reducing carbon...SUNIX’s impact on slowing global warming cannot be seen, as it is almost impossible to stop the realization of the Earth’s continued warming. However, this is an attitude where every person, every family, every city, and every country needs to put in their effort to slow down the rate of global warming because our children and grandchildren will one day be witness to the fallout from man’s greed – the destruction of all the land, animals, and plants on Earth, including, of course, the extinction of humanity. You may not feel or care right now about the consequences of global warming, but, when the end does come, it is unstoppable. We just want to remind everyone to work hard together to protect the environment and slow the pace of global warming.

Humans do not have sharp horns, or teeth, or claws, however, man can prevail over jackals, wolves, tigers, leopards, lions, bears and all other creatures to rule the Earth because people care about each other, care for each other, and help each other. Therefore, with each other’s help and support, man has grown and become the victor over all things. This is one of the reasons why humans can become king of the beasts.
SUNIX has set up The Walker Association to help promote humanity and to provide care and assistance to individuals and groups that are in need. Its purpose is:
“As we travel across this land, we look for suffering and pain.
As we enter the backcountry, we bring supplies and affection.
As we walk down streets and alleys, we look for local culture and arts.
As we play all the walks of life, we bring them spiritual comfort and condolence.”
We are a group called “The Walker.” On this land from where we live and grow, we visit organizations and public interest groups that are in need of help. We care for them by taking action, understanding what they lack, and giving them material aid and supplements. Spiritually, we not only act as volunteers to serve them, but also seek to develop the relatively disadvantaged Taiwanese folk music and cultural art workers through our sponsorship, thus allowing them to perform for underprivileged groups and bringing spiritual comfort to the suffering and those in pain. At the same time, we want to do our best to carry out and promote Taiwan’s folk music and cultural arts by providing local artists with a performance stage and income.
Assist disadvantage public interest groups and individuals:
A. Orphans, abused children, mentally challenged children, old and challenged children, and children with cancer who are living in remote areas and are registered with the Ministry of the Interior.
B. Nursing home, abandoned elders, convalescent homes, and domestically abused women who are living in remote areas and are registered with the Ministry of the Interior.
For over 20 years, we have worked with World Vision to help children in every corner of the world that cannot go to school, children suffering in war zones, children with cancer…
3. Happiness
The mission of human life is to pass man’s DNA to the next generation. Therefore, procreation is the essence of human life, i.e. “Family Life” – marriage, children, taking care of the family, is the center of human life. Work is only the means to obtain and exchange the necessities for living. Thus, humans should not reverse the order of their priorities by “working hard for money, career, success,” but should instead “work efficiently for the necessities of life in order to enjoy a good family life, raise children, and take care of friends and family.”
SUNIX is promoting itself to be a “happiness company,” giving its employees a “Happiness Passport,” emphasizing “family is the center of life, while work is just the means to obtain the necessities for living.” Therefore, SUNIX vigorously promotes employee life and well being. Employees have received substantial pay raises for twenty consecutive years, along with mid-year and annual year-end bonuses, overseas trips, healthy and nutritious meals, family day events, safe means of transportation, expanded personal insurance coverage, disallowing overtime and overwork...and so on. There is no dedication toward long-term investment in people and talent, nor is there long-term investment in basic science and technology research. They only emphasize investment in production equipment or the use of existing technology to make money and get a return on capital as fast as possible.
Over the past 30 years, SUNIX’s core values lie in its investment and establishment of a strong and complete core team and elites. From hardware circuit development, chip design technology, driver programming, App program development, production automation, quality laboratories, worldwide sales team and branch office set up, building up customer service and technical support ... this team has created a technology difference between SUNIX and other technology companies, as well as its core competencies and values.

Technical analysis capability - if a technology company is unable to use instruments or data to prove what is called “meets or passes standards” or “within standards or specifications,” and can only say that it is acceptable because it has passed system testing, then that company has no technical ability and content.
B. Quality reliable system - if the quality of a product is tested by just turning it on and running a boot test during the customer acceptance process, but there is no testing of the components of each batch for aging and damages, then there is no so-called quality for this product, only that it works.
Then, what kind of company and what kind of system can allow customers to “trust” that the company has technical problem solving ability, i.e. that it has engineers capable of performing technical analysis along with precision measuring instruments.
What kind of products and what kind of quality allows customers to “trust” the company's products have good quality? If we burn up all the oil, gas and coal on the planet, 50 billion tons of carbon will be released into the atmosphere, causing the Earth's average temperature to rise to 26.6 degrees (currently it is 14.4 degrees), all the ice on land to completely melt, and the Earth’s ocean level will rise sixty-six meters. By that time, the land inhabited by humans will be swallowed by the seas, meaning that there will no longer be any land suited for farming or ranging, and that humans will no longer have any food or land for living. When the Earth's ocean level rises sixty-six meters, will the city that you live in or your sweet home still exist? The human race is at the brink of survival. Can you still not care about the greenhouse effect on mankind?
Although SUNIX is a small business, yet it has played its part in protecting the Earth's environment. SUNIX has invested more than 60 million RMB (USD10 million) to green 65% of the factory’s 35 acre landsite. Over five thousand trees were planted. These trees can absorb more than one thousand tons of carbon in the atmosphere each year, and release over eight hundred tons of oxygen into the atmosphere. The Park's ecological pond collects rainwater, which supplies the needs of the whole factory as well as the water circulation system used for irrigation. It also plays its part in balancing the ecosystem by providing insects with an environment for reproduction, a place for birds to rest and feed, and for fish and shrimp to mate and breed.
We have also been promoting a paperless environment throughout the factory to prevent deforestation by businessmen to meet the demand for paper. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen, making them the most important weapon against the greenhouse effect. We have always been promoting energy conservation and carbon reduction as ways to reduce power usage and consumption. Our power usage has gone from more than 10 thousand kW per month, down to over 6 thousand kW per month, a 45% decrease in power consumption. This translates to burning 120 tons of oil or more than 500 tons of coal less each year, thereby reducing 70 tons of carbon emission, which is the main cause of the greenhouse effect.
From the ecological park, tree planting, water recycling, promoting a paperless factory, saving energy and reducing carbon...SUNIX’s impact on slowing global warming cannot be seen, as it is almost impossible to stop the realization of the Earth’s continued warming. However, this is an attitude where every person, every family, every city, and every country needs to put in their effort to slow down the rate of global warming because our children and grandchildren will one day be witness to the fallout from man’s greed – the destruction of all the land, animals, and plants on Earth, including, of course, the extinction of humanity. You may not feel or care right now about the consequences of global warming, but, when the end does come, it is unstoppable. We just want to remind everyone to work hard together to protect the environment and slow the pace of global warming.  
2. Charity
Humans do not have sharp horns, or teeth, or claws, however, man can prevail over jackals, wolves, tigers, leopards, lions, bears and all other creatures to rule the Earth because people care about each other, care for each other, and help each other. Therefore, with each other’s help and support, man has grown and become the victor over all things. This is one of the reasons why humans can become king of the beasts.
SUNIX has set up The Walker Association to help promote humanity and to provide care and assistance to individuals and groups that are in need. Its purpose is:
“As we travel across this land, we look for suffering and pain.
As we enter the backcountry, we bring supplies and affection.
As we walk down streets and alleys, we look for local culture and arts.
As we play all the walks of life, we bring them spiritual comfort and condolence.”
We are a group called “The Walker.” On this land from where we live and grow, we visit organizations and public interest groups that are in need of help. We care for them by taking action, understanding what they lack, and giving them material aid and supplements. Spiritually, we not only act as volunteers to serve them, but also seek to develop the relatively disadvantaged Taiwanese folk music and cultural art workers through our sponsorship, thus allowing them to perform for underprivileged groups and bringing spiritual comfort to the suffering and those in pain. At the same time, we want to do our best to carry out and promote Taiwan’s folk music and cultural arts by providing local artists with a performance stage and income.
Assist disadvantage public interest groups and individuals:
A. Orphans, abused children, mentally challenged children, old and challenged children, and children with cancer who are living in remote areas and are registered with the Ministry of the Interior.
B. Nursing home, abandoned elders, convalescent homes, and domestically abused women who are living in remote areas and are registered with the Ministry of the Interior.
For over 20 years, we have worked with World Vision to help children in every corner of the world that cannot go to school, children suffering in war zones, children with cancer…
3. Happiness
The mission of human life is to pass man’s DNA to the next generation. Therefore, procreation is the essence of human life, i.e. “Family Life” – marriage, children, taking care of the family, is the center of human life. Work is only the means to obtain and exchange the necessities for living. Thus, humans should not reverse the order of their priorities by “working hard for money, career, success,” but should instead “work efficiently for the necessities of life in order to enjoy a good family life, raise children, and take care of friends and family.”
SUNIX is promoting itself to be a “happiness company,” giving its employees a “Happiness Passport,” emphasizing “family is the center of life, while work is just the means to obtain the necessities for living.” Therefore, SUNIX vigorously promotes employee life and well being. Employees have received substantial pay raises for twenty consecutive years, along with mid-year and annual year-end bonuses, overseas trips, healthy and nutritious meals, family day events, safe means of transportation, expanded personal insurance coverage, disallowing overtime and overwork...and so on. The “Happiness Passport” is a passport of benefits that the company gives to each employee. Depending on the performance of each individual, the list of happiness is different for each employee. This is SUNIX promoting high quality family life and corporate culture within the company.
4. Culture
People not only need to work to obtain the things needed for sustaining their lives, but also need spiritual comfort as well. Culture is what gives stability and comfort to the human soul. Without culture, the human mind and soul will eventually wither.
SUNIX’s “The Walker Association” has been working hard to promote culture and bringing comfort and happiness to people. The Walker focuses on promoting Taiwanese culture, taking care of disadvantaged Taiwanese cultural workers and artists, as well as giving them a performance stage and income through participation in charity events, thus allowing Taiwan's local culture to be passed along.
“The Walker Association” helps Taiwanese folk music, culture and arts with:
A. Local theater and music (e.g. traditional opera, puppetry, erhu...)
B. Local art and toys (e.g. tanghulu, dragon beard candy, dough figurines, bamboo copters, spinning tops...)
5. Core
The problem of today’s companies, society, and the economy, is that business owners only pursuit instant noodle type profit making operations. There is no dedication toward long-term investment in people and talent, nor is there long-term investment in basic science and technology research. They only emphasize investment in production equipment or the use of existing technology to make money and get a return on capital as fast as possible.
Over the past 30 years, SUNIX’s core values lie in its investment and establishment of a strong and complete core team and elites. From hardware circuit development, chip design technology, driver programming, App program development, production automation, quality laboratories, worldwide sales team and branch office set up, building up customer service and technical support ... this team has created a technology difference between SUNIX and other technology companies, as well as its core competencies and values.
6. Trust
The trust between a technology company and its customers, is built upon SUNIX’s technical analysis capacity and quality reliable systems.
A. Technical analysis capability - if a technology company is unable to use instruments or data to prove what is called “meets or passes standards” or “within standards or specifications,” and can only say that it is acceptable because it has passed system testing, then that company has no technical ability and content.
B. Quality reliable system - if the quality of a product is tested by just turning it on and running a boot test during the customer acceptance process, but there is no testing of the components of each batch for aging and damages, then there is no so-called quality for this product, only that it works.
Then, what kind of company and what kind of system can allow customers to “trust” that the company has technical problem solving ability, i.e. that it has engineers capable of performing technical analysis along with precision measuring instruments.
What kind of products and what kind of quality allows customers to “trust” the company's products have good quality? That the company has aging and damage testing equipment and instruments and that it actually performs such testing on each production batch? In addition, does the company have a production ID card in place where procurement information on each component can be traced, has set up production testing and assembly process, as well as information on personnel, shipping and sales so that problems can be quickly identified, information can be quickly traced and then quickly solved?
SUNIX has invested over 10 million RMB (USD2 million) to set up a quality laboratory and has provided long-term education and training for its Kunshan factory quality assurance engineers so that any product quality demands requested by the customer are absolutely in line with allowing customer “trust.”
